Tax abatement agreements executed between Haskell County and Google-affiliated LLCs that are available for public viewing on the Haskell County Website don’t paint the clearest picture and leave questions unanswered. Three tax abatements related to Google were executed in June 2025 for the Journey 1A and Journey 2A projects, the Thelma data center project, and another unspecified project referred to as Quest. The attachments in the filings for the Quest tax abatement indicate a tract of land exceeding 2,000 acres. Another tax abatement was executed in April 2026 with Ascendant Site Solutions but little is known about that project.
